~Sylestia's Next Top Designer (Cycle 3)~
"The Next Level"
WILDCARD VOTING
VOTING OPEN
Voting Ends: Monday, August 7th at 10:00PM Sylestia Time
Welcome voters to this round of the contest. Your participation is very important to us and greatly appreciated. To vote simply read the rules below. Remember to take your time and look at each design carefully to make the best choice possible.
At the end of this round the TWO designers (surprise!) with the most votes will be granted entry into the Finale round and compete for prize packages!
NOTE: As you'll notice, reference material for these entries are a little all over the place. Some contestants used images, some used links. Voters please try and take the time to use the links to your advantage to determine your votes, but try and consider everyone fairly no matter what (if any) references they included.
Good luck everyone!
EVERYONE PLEASE READ THE RULES!
RULES
1.) None of the entries will be labeled with the contestants name. This is what is considered a "blind vote", meaning no one will know who created what design. Once all of the votes are in I will post the results with the contestants names revealed
2.) There is no real way for me to police this, but I feel confident that those of you who are contestants won't reveal which design is your's privately to anyone in order to get votes. If you are found to have done this you will be disqualified. Furthermore, if you accidentally post in this thread before the voting ends and indicate which design is your's I won't disqualify you, but you will not be eligible for anymore votes.
3.) VOTERS: When voting please vote for your TWO favorite DESIGN SETS. They will be numbered so when you post please refer to the set by the number and make sure you are looking at the set as a whole and aren't voting for individual designs. Comments are welcome and I'm sure will be appreciated by the contestants, but please keep it positive.
4.) Contestants are allowed to vote, but it should go without saying that you shouldn't vote for your own design. I'll know whose is whose.
5.) Everyone have fun and please let me know if you have any questions or think I left something out.
WILDCARD ROUND THEME - Mythology Mania
Alright everyone, welcome to the Wildcard Round. Do your best and you may earn a spot in the grand Finale Round! For this round we will be focusing on...mythology! You may use any type of mythology you like (Greek, Celtic, Norse, Egyptian, etc.) for the three designs which are detailed below.
Design #1: You must make a design based off of a God or Goddess. You may use any particular mythology you choose. You may use any species or traits that you wish. I encourage doing lots of research as there are so many lesser known deities out there that would make for fun and interesting designs.
Design #2: You must make a design based off of a Mythological Creature. You may use any particular mythology you choose. You may use any species or traits that you wish. I encourage doing lots of research as there are many lesser known creatures out there that would make for fun and interesting designs.
Design #3: You must make a design based off of a mythological story. You may use any particular mythology you choose. You may use any species or traits that you wish. This can be a challenge for some of you so what you need to do is find a story that appeals to you and create a design based off of the moral, the feeling of the tale, or something significant that the story is based around. Please don't hesitate to ask me questions about this one.

Medusa Aeridini "Medusa was a priestess of Athena, was devoted to a life of celibacy; however, after being wooed by Poseidon and falling for him, she forgot her vows and married him. For this offence, she was punished by the goddess in a most terrible manner. Each wavy lock of the beautiful hair that had charmed her husband was changed into a venomous snake; her once gentle, love-inspiring eyes turned into blood-shot, furious orbs, which excited fear and disgust in the mind of the onlooker; whilst her former roseate hue and milk-white skin assumed a loathsome greenish tinge. Huitzilopochtli as the Sun Luffox http://www.ancient.eu/Huitzilopochtli/
"I couldn't get a link with just the legend, but the website above has it under the heading "Huitzilopochtli as the Sun." I've tried to reflect the creation of the sun, moon, and stars in my design."

Aither Ny'Vene "AITHER (Aether) was the primordial god (protogenos) of light and the bright, blue ether of the heavens. His mists filled the space between the solid dome of the sky (ouranos) and the transparent mists of the earth-bound air (khaos, aer). In the evening his mother Nyx drew her dark veil across the sky, obscuring the ether and bringing night. In the morn his sister and wife Hemera dispersed night's mist to reveal the shining blue ether of day. In the ancient cosmogonies night and day were regarded as elements separate from the sun.
Aither was one of the three "airs". The middle air was aer or khaos, a colourless mist which enveloped the mortal world. The lower air was erebos, the mists of darkness, which enveloped the dark places beneath the earth and the realm of the dead. The third was the upper air of aither, the mist of light and blue of the heavenly ether. The aither enveloped the mountain peaks, clouds, stars, sun and moon."
