It wasnt linked to anything and was surprisingly not that heavy for somthing that was oringinaly pure metal. As you remove it from the water, the cristals start getting more color and quickly turn from white to fire red.

' This is a type of heat cristal, they change their color depending on the temperature of the air. As water don't have a lot of air in it the cristal coudn't take any coloration. It't a great alchemy item if you ever want to make somthing.'

You remember the small satchel the woman gave you before throwing you in the rift. You could apparently could store anything from any size in it as long as it wasn't a living, breathing being.
