Region chat has froze a couple times on me today. Not sure what the cause is. I've heard others having problems with region chat freezing on them today, too.

It makes it look like no one's said anything for a long time. There's still text from conversations from before it froze.

Same here...I thought I killed chat but when I refreshed/posted something again a bunch of conversations had suddenly appeared. :|

This happened around 4:30 ish (my time), and I was wandering around the festival zone when I noticed it hadn't moved for at least 20 mins. A simple refresh solved the problem for me, but I am wondering what caused such a funny thing to happen.

Probably clearing your cache will fix it.

I made a change to the script file overnight to fix a bug causing the chat to update a ridiculous amount of times if you left the page going for awhile and were submitting messages. In essence, this is why sometimes links were hard to click on... because the chat was updating so frequently it would update every time you try to click, rendering the link defunct for a split second.

Can't really clear cache since I always use Incognito/private mode when I play Sylestia. :v

Hm...

Does it freeze consistently or randomly?

Are you able to determine any specific actions that always result in it freezing?

I cleared the cache. Thanks so much!

I kinda wondered if it could be connected to just having submitted text into region chat, but it could have been coincidence or maybe I just hadn't been paying attention to chat until I tried to type something and everyone seemed super quiet.

It's randomly.....
The first time it happened I had just posted something in chat, and it hadn't moved after that so I simply thought nobody was responding. But as I posted another thing in chat, it suddenly moved and I saw many conversations going on, lol. Second time it just randomly froze without me doing anything. I refreshed the page and it went back to normal.

I tried logging off-on so I'll just see if that does anything. xD

Have you closed and re-opened Chrome?

That's how you reset the cache when using incognito mode. It will store until you close it.

Yes.

So far region chat is acting normal, that probably fixed it~

Thank you again for your help!
