So we have another week to go until the Spring Festival. I shall run a small contest.

Rules are simple. The posts below are numbered. Each one contains a question, riddle, or Sylestia joke and the image link of one or two pets. Be the first person to correctly answer and you win the pet(s). Remember to ping me!

1. Stevioside, a one-Vis five-Carried Zolnixi Offspring--


#1 is a Sylestia question: "What are the three colors of a Rare Speckled Mushroom"?

Edit: A winner!

Evilowlcastcast guessed "red, blue, and tan." The actual colors are red, blue, and white, but I have to consider that players' screens and monitors may vary a bit.


The image above is a link to Amarok's Sylestia Walkthrough (which is where I stole the image from). As you can see, the white part has considerable shading, which could cause it to appear somewhat tan to some players. Congrats to Evilowl!

2. A pair of Tamed Zolnixi eggs. Strangely, I found both of them in the same run through the Dungeon of the Forsaken--one right after a fight and the other in, of all places, a chest! How did an egg get into a chest? (No, that isn't the question for winning these two.)


#2 is a Sylestia riddle: "Why did the Aurleon cross the road?"

Edit: The first egg, the one from just after the fight, has hatched into this vixen pup. She has Vis Advanced Runes and Hidden Digital Runes.


Edit again: As I had hoped, the egg that was mysteriously locked inside a trunk has hatched into a todd. He has, or will have, Vis Pearl Armor and Hidden Shaman Feathers.

3. A Purebred Dark Waters Sylvorpa Tadpole, Ping Echo--

The Dark Waters Theme came out in the autumn of 2013. Sylestia has not generated any new Tagged Dark Waters since then, so Ping Echo and other Purebred DW Sylvorpas are all descended from the original 2013 Tagged (there are only 40 of them, total).

#3 is a Sylestia question: "How are Jinxie and Jaxle Juniper related to each other?"

Grapejuice answered correctly that Jinxie and Jaxle are cousins.

4. This is Money Frog, a Purebred Lucky Sylvorpa--

The Lucky Sylvorpas came into existence during the 2014 Fortune Festival. They were Tamed Tagged pets, but all Lucky Sylvorpas since then have been Exclusive Tagged pets, and only a few are made available to players during each subsequent year's Fortune Festival. (During the 2017 Fortune Festival, there was only one new Tagged Lucky Sylvorpa!)

Question #4 is a Sylestia question: "Commander Thaguron has a Held item. Where can you buy one just like it?"

Angelzrulez answered correctly that you can purchase the item from the Armory in the Sanctuary of Saerielle. Incidentally, it's called a Runic Elven Glaive.

5. Bolifushi is a Purebred tadpole of a Restricted Theme, the Ocean's Jewel Sylvorpa--

#5 is a Sylestia riddle: "Why doesn't Tinkerbell ever get lost deep within Aryth's Spire?"

Enyo correctly figured out that Tinkerbell would just have to stop at the first mirror she saw. She can't get lost if she never goes any further than that!
