Hi! I'm new here. So I have a question: I maxed my party, but I can't seem to find the button that let's me add the pet to my party.

it's right down the bottom on the right :)

When you are in the part manager (explore->party) at the bottom of the page to the right of where you select the pet you want to add from the drop down menu is a plus sign. Hit that plus sign to add the pet to the party (assuming you have an empty slot).
There use to be a button on the pet profile page, but that was removed in the last update.
