Dawn when Sunrises streached her muscles still ached from yesterday. She had not realized she had dozed off, not that it mattered anyway nothing ever happened and it was always boring.

After her younger siblings left Night Rainfall and Birch fall talked about the leader of the tribe of the dark follower being close to their territory. After a while Birch fall brought up the idea that the tribe of the Dark Follower may be planning to expand.

"I will NOT let go of my territory that easily! We have been here since I was a kit and I will not leave!" Night Rainfall yowled anger sparkling through her veins

"Night please calm down it was just an idea, I am just stating. It will likely not happen" Birch fall mewed trying to calm Nightfall

"They know we are well fed over here, they might get ideas to expand this leafbare" Night Rainfall mewed anger still sparkling off her pelt. She stormed off to the road and darted across back into the forest. She clawed at trees and marked bushes, she laid sticks in messy lines to mark the boundary. Next she climbed up a large tree leaped tree to tree avoiding coming close to the tribe boundaries. She gathered a few large squirrels and took them home. She felt her work was not done. After telling her family she would be late night hunting she disappeared into the forest and lay in a tree that could hide her black pelt and lay down on a thick branch close to the ground but still high enough for protection. She drifted off to sleep and hung her golden paw down off the side of the branch, she, however, was unaware of this but still slept soundly. Below her paw could easily be mistaken for a squirrel tail if a cat did not have eyesight sharper than a bird's.

Fish played with rock. Horsetail waited for Light to arrive.

Awakening, Night Rainfall shook the dead leaves from her pelt, her claws buried into the bark of the tree.

She leaped from branch to branch towards the tribe of the Dark Follower's territory. She did not do this often but she needed to see what was going on in the camp.

Once close enough but still not invading camp Night Rainfall his in a shadowy tree where no cat could spot her.

Light padded back into the clearing, cold, wet, and very tired. He set the squirrel on the fresh-kill pile, and lay down.

"Light we must hunt." Horsetail said. "Starclan has seen a great famine to come this leaf-bare."

"Then we must send out both Prey-Hunters and Guardians. All who are able to fetch their own prey, gather at under the High Rock!" Light yowled, his voice echoing through the camp.

Ice went out of the nursery to listen to her leader's words. She could hunt if it got that bad.

"Tribe," Light sighed, addressing the cats, "Horsetail has told me that Tribe Sky Light has sent a warning to us. A great famine will spread across the land this Leaf-bare. It will be hard for the tribe to survive, unless we act now. Prey-Hunters and Guardians both, will hunt, as collecting enough food will become our first priority. I assure you, we will make it through the bitter frosts of Leaf-bare. I also have some happier news. Dawn is going to have kits. She will be moving to the Nursery in a fortnight. Thank you. That is all." Light said, hopping of the giant slab of stone.

Ice ushered Fish into the nursery. She needed her kit to be safe and that meant watching over her.
