Who came up with all these words in the first place? Why is English such a stupid language? Why is it even called English? What was the first name? Why are people so obsessed with their looks? Why is it snowing? How did people come up with the year system? Why twelve months, and the knuckle pattern for days in months? Why are people who have gone to private schools their whole lives generally so fixated on making jokes about sex and suicide? Why are people obsessed with social media, like Facebook and Twitter? Why isn't anyone bringing up the First Amendment to the American constitution against Donald Trump's travel ban? Why is prostate cancer the fourth-looked-up thing on Google Images when pros is typed?

Twelve months because first of all months are based of the moon cycle, it takes a month for the cycle to fully complete. But it got messed around a bunch with people's birthdays and kings and stuff so that's why the moons and months don't correspond. And twelve months is how long it takes for the earth to get around the sun, but before that was known it was the season cycles.

Some of our words are deprived from Latin or Greek, and there's some French and German in there. But most of our words come from the Anglo-Saxons, or The "Angelish" (now known as English). That answers three of your questions on English. as for the last question, I don't think English is stupid.
People are selfish sometimes.
Probably because it's winter.
The Egyptians originally came up with a 360 day year and then a four-day festival. Do the math: 360+4=364. The four-day festival was for the Earth to "catch up" with the Egyptians' calender.
The other person explains the month thing better.
The days of the week came from the Vikings/Norsemen (for example, Thursday= Thor's day.)
I guess they grew up around it.
People like to talk, but they don't like using phones.
Trump's ban is only temporary.
Because people are scared of cancer.
