I have seen some people discussing about the battle with King Desius. I have finished the quest but one thing still troubles me... how many times do you guys need to fight off King Desius?

You see, I took just once to defeat him, and I didn't activate any seals! One of my pet is a few levels higher than King Desius, and two of them lower. But I have a lot of Revival Draught(level 1) on hand. I forgot how much I used though.

Is the battle that easy? Or is it just sheer luck for me? Please comment!

King Desius is actually a very hard opponent. Because of his buffs, if you don't activate the seals, it becomes increasingly harder to defeat him. However, it's way easier if you have pets which are 5+ levels higher than him. Since he is a quest boss, you only get to fight him once, but you can fight his summoner (Aryth) multiple times in the Dungeon of the Forsaken.

As said, it took my first try to defeat him, using only lvl 50 pets and a couple of health potions. They didn't die, which was a relief. It's actually recommended to fight Kind Desius using higher level pets, since it's too hard to kill him at his level. Also, I had legendary/epic gear, so it made the fight a lot more easier I also had 2 of the four seals activated (I think) but I still managed to beat him

Well, I beat him the first time I tried, used only 3 potions, didn't unlock any seals, and lost no pets.

I thought it was really easy. I don't really get what all the the fuss was about.

@Everlost, It's just that some people have a hard time doing this o3o/ So there is a bit of fuss for others.

Eh, I guess. I just spent so much time trying to unlock seals because I'd heard it was so difficult. And then I just go and do it and I get it, so yeah.

What lvl did you beat him at? I've heard that it is extremely hard to beat him at his level, so I lvled up my pets pretty high because I also thought it was going to be hard XD So I guess the trick is to grind your pets to a higher level, because it gets a lot more easier after that

Well my tank is 60 and I have one at about 58 and another at 49.

My tank is 48, my damage dealer is 43, and my backup pet (For in case the other two get ko'ed. She's really just there to buy me time to revive the other two.) is also 43. I literally just beat him and the two knights he had with him in under a minute, having only broken 1 seal, and only using a couple of health potions to keep my pets' health above 50%. I managed to use two full sets of finishing blows, where all three pets had 100% mana on King Desius, had all three pets focus on him alone until he was down, then picked off each knight in the same manner. Much easier than attacking all three at once with separate pets. ^^

That's pretty much what I did, but without breaking any seals.

if you did it recently I believe you got the restructured version of the boss.

In other words you got the weakened version, as most of the enemies have been made easier if I remember correctly.

At least I assume that is in effect now :/
