The earth pounded beneath her feet, her breath heavy and she lead her pack through the thick forest, twigs and leaves getting stuck in her pelt.

As the glow of the moon shone on his pelt he felt a power greater than any other, coursing through his veins.

It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents, though the water had only just begun to fall. Wind swept through the trees and rattled through branches and fiercely agitated the skin under his fur. His disturbingly bright eyes squinted through the water as he struggled to hurry home before his feathered wings were so heavy with rain he'd have to wait a whole day to be abe to fly again, or worse, he broke a paw from slipping in the quickly forming mud.
At least his dark fur would help him blend in with the darkness.

The rain fell swiftly and pounded against there body. Tears trailed down and left rivulets in the mud. The moon shone behind a cloud, casting dark shadows over the land. A leaf settled in front of them for a moment before being blown away. A haunting melody came from the sylestias body as they sang to the sky. The rain started falling harder and harder until the sylestia was lost from sight, from time, and from life itself.

She walked leisurely along the beach of her island home as the sun set. The calm water was only a foot away and she paused to take a deep breath of the salt-scented air. She closed her maroon colored eyes as the gentle breeze ruffled her fur slightly. The sun-warmed sand beneath her bright colored paws was peaceful as she thought about nothing but the wonderful future.
