THE FINAL ROUND
So this should hopefully be the round to 'decide it all..'

THE PROMPT:

Hundenelsker, and KaliOfDarknesss....what you two will be doing is that you will pick a prompt to use. Basically, you two, talk about what sort of a prompt you want to do, then you both do it. No, you are not 'collab' it, just decide on a prompt together (prompt decision is probably the only 'collab' bit of it), and work with it, but you two are still writing separate stories on your own, just using the prompt you have both came up with.

Don't forget to write above your entries what the prompt is. :)

Quick Summary incase it made no sense... '

1 prompt decided on by the two of you=2 individual stories'

not '2 prompt=2 stories'

not even '1 prompt=1 collab-ed story'

(out of curiosity, can i see your prompt decision-making process on this thread? Just curious to see how you two will decide/talk on it, you don't have to if you don't want to, lol)

Deadline: December 22nd, 7:45AM (game time)

So far, all we've got is a wish for an extension dx Sometime on the twenty seventh, instead?

Edit: We've also gotten our topic ironed out >.>

Hundenelsker: huh, been looking through a story theme generator and I found one I like
Hundenelsker: Setting: post-apocalypse. Theme:action/life-after-death story
Hundenelsker: dunno if you care for it, though
KaliOfDarknesss: life-after-death story?
KaliOfDarknesss: Is that like life after worldwide devastation or legit after-death?
Hundenelsker: dunno, I guess that's up to whoever plays with it to decide? these things are all pretty vague
KaliOfDarknesss: That...could be quite fun.
Hundenelsker: so it'll do? sorry if I'm being pushy but it sounds pretty fun and it's as good as anything
KaliOfDarknesss: It'll do (:

Oh, an extension? oh, i had thought you'd guys like the deadline to be before the festival since things can get hectic lmao.

Sure, an extension works.

So... basically deadline is now on the 27th, same time though, just...different date lmao.

also...you guys are fast :P

Setting: post-apocalypse. Theme:action/life-after-death story

-beep...beep...beep...bee--

She hit the snooze button, hoping to gain a little bit more sleep...
-beep!...beep...beep...beep...bee--

ugh! She turned the alarm off and rolled out of bed, padding softly towards the bathroom. Looking in the mirror after performing her morning ablutions, Choisya saw her dark gray-violet eyes staring back at her from under a mop of deep red. Tying said mop back with a bright red ribbon, she set off to walk to class.

On her way, under the bright sunless sky, she wondered where everyone was. The streets were empty, and no birds were chirping. In fact, the world seemed colorless, except for little Choisya and her bright red ribbon. Suddenly she shivered, as it occurred to her that it was winter, and the world truly was colorless, all white and black and dull.

She blinked and the world moved. She was no longer walking to school on a bright, empty day. She was lying in the grass, staring at clouds. Feeling at the grass she realized grass it was not. She was lying on a mound of hair. Hair that was connected to heads...heads that were once alive. She screamed as she came to this realization...or at least she tried to. That bright red ribbon she knew was in her hair was truly around her neck, slowly drying and beginning to itch.

But she could not itch...she could not scream, she could not blink. Laying there, eyes wide open, on a massive open air grave, all Choisya could do was watch the clouds. And hope her thoughts stopped screaming so she could rest, she was so, so tired. But they didn't. They never would. She would be stuck there, staring at the sky, until her eyes dried and died and left her body...until her skin followed and her brain disintegrated into dust. Until at last she was just bones, separating from their others, leaving her to finally rest as she was torn to pieces by nature itself...

Idly in the back of her mind, a piece that was not screaming wondered.../will anyone miss me? Is there anyone left to miss me?/ And poor Choisya will never know that no, there was nobody left to miss her, all of her kin were dead, not trapped as she was by her choice to wear a red ribbon that bright, sunless day...the day the sun disappeared and life...ended.

ugh! She turned the alarm off and rolled out of bed, padding softly towards the bathroom. Looking in the mirror after performing her morning ablutions, Choisya saw her dark gray-violet eyes staring back at her from under a mop of deep red. Brushing the mop into some semblance of order, Choisya yawned and tied it back with a bright red ribbon. Feeling upbeat all of a sudden, she grinned at her reflection and flounced off to leave the house.

Hopping over sidewalk cracks and humming cheerfully, Choisya skipped off to school. The sunless sky overhead pulsed a bright pearlescent gray, and Choisya blinked, fascinated. When it did it again, she abandoned her journey to flop in the grass of a yard right off the sidewalk. She tried to giggle and realized she wasn't breathing. She tried to blink, and found that she could not. As realization came flooding back, realization of her own personal hell, she abandoned the daydream and took up her wordless, soundless mental scream once more.

Idle thoughts that come when an activity is no longer as all consuming as it once was wondered many things. Amongst the wonderings was a question. 'What really happened on the day the sun disappeared and life itself ended?'

Looking in the mirror after performing her morning ablutions, Choisya saw her dark gray-violet eyes staring back at her from under a mop of deep red. Brushing her hair back and quickly braiding it, she tied a red ribbon in a bow around her throat. Quietly trudging outside, she started walking to school.

The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and all was right in the world. Until it wasn't. Her world went white and her ears heard red. When at last she could see again, she saw that the sun was no more. Though her ears still heard nothing but red, she stood up and stumble-ran to the city center in a panic. Partway there, caught in a crush of other panicking people, the whole mob collapsed. The effects of the sun disappearing were many, the larger bodies of the humans holding out only minutes longer than the birds that no one could hear, if there was anything left to be heard.

Choisya's tiny body lay on several others, staring at the sky...screaming where none could hear, for none were capable of hearing anymore.

The sun disappeared...and life ended. If only souls bound by red ribbons were so lucky to end, too.
