There is no reason to submit any designs for the Aeridini, Lighira, Griffi, Ny'vene, or Puffadore. They are not found in the Festival Zone for the Fall Festival.

There really isn't a way to be "disqualified" from this contest. Either we use a design we like or we don't. If we do, then you get to choose a themed pet.

But it should go without saying to keep posts as on-topic as possible. If we have to go through a bunch of designs that we aren't even asking for, it just makes the whole process take longer. So please only post designs that we are looking for and that match the criteria as requested.

Thank you.

Indian Blanket Zolnixi

Technically the Indian Blanket Wildflower is a summer bloomer, but the colors fit autumn so well, I couldn't help myself. And its not uncommon to find it still around in the early autumn.

Campfire's Whisper Ryori

Sleepy Hallow Faelora

This is based loosely off the Legend of Sleepy Hallow, one of my all-time favorite spooky stories.

Tell Tale Heart Luffox

Based loosely off of The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, which is, in my opinion, the best scary story ever.

Caramel Apple Kelpari

Monarch's Migration Nephini

Hay Ride Qitari

Spook Song Aurleon

Pumpkin Spice Lupora

Lantern Lunemara

Male and female display different traits to show the colors work well.

Dark Wizard Qitari

Indian Corn Zolnixi

Leaf Peeping Aurleon (leaf peeping is what tourists are called that travel to view leaves changing colors)

Black Widow Vulnyx (showing flowing runes on female as example that it still looks good despite being brighter than chosen color)

Honeycrisp Bulbori

**more to come :)**

Here we go!

Aurleon: White Night Aurleon

Nuit Blanche, or White Night, is an international celebration of the arts that takes place in October. During Nuit Blanche, museums and other cultural attractions remain open all night, and large areas of the hosting town become centers for art installations and performances.

More here: Nuit Blanche @ Wikipedia

Designwise, this Aurleon's dark night base colors stand in contrast to the cream-and-yellow gene colors that serve to, well, light up the night. ;)

Vulnyx: Allantide Vulnyx

Allantide is a Cornish celebration of the end of fall, similar to (and celebrated at the same time as) Halloween. The most famous part of an Allantide celebration is the giving of Allan apples, which are huge, red, and very shiny - perfect for warding off bad luck!

More here: Allantide @ Wikipedia

These vulnyxes are bright apple red and woody stem brown, with just a touch of Granny Smith green to provide contrast - and maybe a little bit of spookiness, who knows?

Ryori: Lantern Festival Ryori

Luffox: Day of the Dead Luffox

Nephini: Spooky Scary Skeleton Nephini

2SPOOKY

Kelpari: Drowned Kelpari

Lupora: Higanbana Lupora

Nytekrie: Wood Smoke Nytekrie

Lunemara: Death's Head Lunemara

Sylvorpa:Rusalka Sylvorpa

MY TIME HAS COME. Reserving for now as i design, will organize later.
note to self: still need Draeyl, Luff, Mork

Crisp Breeze Aurleon
- Tried to embody those crisp, chilly October mornings, the clear blue sky dotted with clouds and the sun adding a touch of warmth to your face.

Harvest Moon Bulbori
- there's several cultures with legends relating rabbits to moons, so the Bulbori is the perfect species for the red-orange Harvest Moon that appears in August-October.

Carnivorous Plant Draeyl
- based off venus flytraps mostly, but what better time of year for plants that can digest amd chomp their meals? (Treeko/Sceptile resemblance unintended)

Phantom Faelora
- Ghost deer? pretty self explanatory.

Mulled Cider Kelpari
- Mulled, or Spiced, cider is, well, Apple Cider with spices and other flavorings added. Tried to make a Kelp that looked like it was made of a warm, frothy cider.

Luffox

Acorn Lunemara
- It's...an...acorn...moth...thingie. Colors are meant to be fairly subtle, blending together but changing just enough.

Mugwort Lupora
- wanted something witchy without being too stereotypically witchy. so, have a lupora based off a plant with various witchcraft uses.

St Elmo('s Fire) Nephini
- St. Elmo's Fire is a is a weather phenomenon in which glowing blue or purple plasma is created in a strong electric field in the atmosphere. It often appeared at sea and would mess with compass directions, and sailors saw it as a bad omen.

Birch Nytekrie
- i don't know why Birch trees seem to symbolize fall, but i always remember how pretty they looked in fall anyway.

Scarecrow Qitari
- Pretty self explanatory. The mane and hair represents hay/straw, the blue, green, and oranges represent the clothes scarecrows wear.

Swamp Fog Ryori
- yeah i just...sorta used spooky foggy nightime swamps as inspiration.

Candy Apple Sylvorpa
- Not Caramel. Candy apples are essentially bright red toffee covered apples. Sometimes covered in nuts, has a large stick in the middle, those are what the bits of tan represent.

Vampiric Vulnyx
- Ok so it seems like everyone's doing this one, esp with chimera tail, but i wanna take a crack at it anyway. Trying to represent the shadowy, monstrous side of vampires, with a touch of gothic elegance.

Leaf Pile Zolnixi
- self explanatory
