...this title...it makes a good 'move title' lol
So...lets talk about how our usernames came to be eh? its curious anyways...
as for me, NightbaneWolf is an OC I made in 2004, she hasn't gone through too much changes though...but...mmph...realistic roleplaying wise...she's actually part husky and part arctic wolf...and the fantasy roleplay....she would be an arctic-wolf, runic wolf...etc...too complicated to explain lol...oh yeah, she also has an anthromorphic form...here are some arts of her:

I had a litter of hedgehogs at the time I joined the site, and they were all named some Native American tribe and then a name. I had Pawnee Paul, Hopi Haylee, and Navajo Joe. Navajo Joe was half the size of his siblings, as the runt, and I was going to keep him. He did not end up surviving.

Wow, Night, that art is sweet and that's a neato story!
Mine isn't nearly that thoughtful.. it's a name I made up which plays off of my IRL last name. Another of my friends' last name is actually Coffee, so we call him that, and Foldger's, and eventually he realized that it could essentially apply to me as well. So from that I kinda created it. It's pronounced just the same as coffee, and I don't mind going by Kauf or Kau.
After years of going by Kingsly, which is my WoW character, I stopped playing WoW, and thus stopped making accounts under that name. My Sylestia account was actually my first account to use this UN, but I've used it for everything since! c:

Thanks for linking me here! I love explaining my username. xD Even though the story is pretty short.
I used to play OviPets (had quite the collection of breeders, too!!) and I had to choose a username for myself. Eevee was taken, so I thought for a bit about something that had a nice melodic ring to it. Eevee Dream popped into my head, but I thought at the time that we couldn't have spaces in our name (we could) so I mushed the two words next to each other. It caught on, and I just got so used to it that it's pretty much my "name" on the internet. If you see an EeveeDream somewhere, it's probably me!

Well, my online name is one that I have used for many, many years on lots of different sites, it is the only one I have ever used on any site.But it was first used as a name on a Gameboy game.... not sure which one, probably one of the Zelda games.
Now, on how I came up with it....it came from the series of books by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon, "Mage Wars". There were 3 books, The Black Gryphon, The White Gryphon and the Silver Gryphon. So that was the start, I used Gold.... seemed more majestic! :)

everyone else is far more interesting. mine's just Cyanide with an 'a' stuck in the butt end to make it sound fancy.
i thought it was sooo original back when, turns out there's several sites where i can't have it because i wasn't the first :T
(like tumblr, i want the cyanidae url sooo bad...Gaia, Pinterest, and 8tracks are all me though!)
i do need to start coming up with new usernames though, since stuff like spaceprince are also usually taken
