I see this word a lot and i have a general understanding of what it is what i want to know is how does one go about starting his on pet project or breeding project whatever you call it, how do you find two sylestis with the exact same trait and color that you can reproduce over and over again?

First, it does completely depend, some are used by racking up essences and generating pets to breed, and some are tagged pets 'themed pets' if you will. Meaning they have the schemes already set.

Adding to what PurpleStarlightWolf said there are also stat projects that requior prisma philters in addition to having essences or picking a themed pet to make the project with.

I for example, amd doing a stat capping project with my favorite themed pet from the past spring festival, which means i had to do the following:

1) I picked the themed pet I loved most at the very start of the fest, and made it a personal goal to get at least one of that theme to be one of the project foundation(it did take me a few weeks to totally make up my mind on if my project was going to be a 6vis trait project or if it was going to be a stat capping project), by that time I had my pair and was at least half way threw with filling the offspring pre-orders I took during the festival.

2) I checked the advanced search to see how many of the there where total in the game, then checked to see who had their same themed pets up for public breeding.

3) I bought, or traded for eggling offspring(and used public breeders) to get the rest of my foundation pets all of which where prisma philtered to raise their stats upon hatching. I'm now on to generation 2 of my project.

4) I have the assistance of fellow users for getting the prisma philters, magical pies, or other needs to help advance the project. Many of them are at the very least getting a huge discount on an offspring once the project is finished, and a few are even getting free project offspring because of how much they have helped out.

Now, while there are many project pets out there the prices can vary alot! With many project offspring costing at least 300k each and that's with the infertility philters... Needless to say those of us who do projects work for months, and a fair number of times spend real life money to buy diamonds(IF we dont have a mountian of gold to get them via the currancy exchange) to compleat these projects.

With all of that said doing projects can be a very fun and rewarding thing.

Also I forgot to add that project pets thatnare fabled species take longer to compleat due to them only being able to breed once every 7 days.

Even if what you're designing isn't a 6 visible you can take the principles outlined there and apply them to any project. There's A LOT of text but Xavion definitely saved me all the typing (I was going to create a breeding guide basically exactly like this but more visual.. and then Xav beat me to it).
