Traps can be obtained from the markets in the towns (type availability differing by location) and from the trader in a seasonal festival zone when one is open
More info here (post 9) that goes into more depth as two all the trap types and where you can get them

The only tradable traps are Master traps, which are bought from the Diamond Shop (or from other players off of the broker). They typically sell for 600k+ gold in the broker.
Because of the price, they're typically only used for Legendary or Mythical rarity pets, or certain rare themes (typically Nephini or Ferrikki themes)
I'd suggest a better route would be to copy the pet image url, and potentially use a pet essence to make a pet with the same colours (and/or traits), since essences are a lot cheaper than master traps
