i think you should be able to sell and release starter pets, many new players don't understand how to color their pets, so many starter pets are all white. and i personally love my starter but i can understand the frustration of having a pet you don't like stuck in your stables. what do you think?
EDIT: CLOSED i realizes why this wouldn't work!

If it's wrongly colored, you can dye it (learn to nurture and get dyes, or buy dyes).
If you ultimately don't like it, you can release it after clearing Viridian Meadows.
I honestly still see starter pets as a special pet, which is different from a pet you just generate, and it would be a bit OP to sell em.

i understand what your saying about it being a special pet, it defiantly is, but i know my friend didn't understand how to color or add mutations or genes to hers, so its just pure white. she really doesn't like it, and dies can be VERY expensive to get and being new a lot of players don't have enough $ to get them.

I believe the reason it's set up this way is to prevent giving an incentive to making multiple accounts (which is against the rules) from which you could then sell 2-vis enhanced generated pets.

Just throwing this out there, I believe you can ask krin to change your starter, assuming you didn't know what you were doing and gave it no colors, only colors where visible traits were, etc. I'm not 100% sure, though? So a confirmation of some kind would be good.

A few notes. First, Starter pets are supposed to be account locked. We allow you to release them after a certain point and that's as far as we would ever go.
For Starters that were not allocated their points, you can always send me a PM and I can add traits to it for you. Additionally, the new Generator will warn players before they generate pets with unspent points.
Lastly, we are now leaning towards selling a Starter Re-Gen kit to change your Starter down the road. Details still to be determined and this idea is not set in stone.

Starter Re-Gen Kits! :D I had no clue what I was doing when I made Spirit, my starter pet
