Now THIS is cool! Awesome addition to the site!
I didn't know pets could be inbred on this site. Thought that wasn't an option.

Glad this has been added! It will make things so much easier.
The only other suggestion I have for this is that the search function should have a "Has Offspring" Yes or No option. That would be brilliant!

Hello,
I may have missed this, but what IS an inbreeding coefficient? As it pertains to Sylestia and breeding, I mean. I see it in my pet's lineage, but it just shows a ( * ). How could/should it read and what's the significance?
Thanks!

If you have 2 and 1 (genders) of a same species. You can breed the/one of the females with the male/ one of the males. The make a baby of less frequent gender within that set. Then you can keep breeding any offspring's with the one of the other parents.
Also inbreeding mainly happens when people mass breed pure breds ;)
Anyway I love the lineage idea, really interesting to see the family tree :D

An inbreeding coefficient is defined as the probability that a being has of receiving two identical alleles from the same ancestor. In real life, this can be very bad if the ancestor had a recessive for rare diseases, as its inbred offspring could get both copies of that recessive and then have a terrible genetic disease.
In Sylestia terms, I apply the same equation but obviously there is no such thing as Sylestia genetic diseases. =P So for Sylestia, the inbreeding coefficient is just simply the measurement of how inbred a pet is. If you want pets that aren't inbred, then that percentage is very helpful to you in finding non-inbred pets. If you don't care, then you can just simply ignore that percentage.
The reason you are seeing an asterisk is because the server is still processing that pet's inbreeding coefficient. It can be a very complicated task when a pet has many generations of lineage and so having to process a million pets all at once is taking quite awhile. So the pets that haven't been processed yet are displayed with an asterisk.
