Hey fellow Sylestians! I have a questions for those of you that live in the USA,

First: What state are you in?
Second: Do you own a ball python/have you owned a ball python?
Third: Did you get your ball python from a breeder? From a pet store? From an exotic pet exbo?
Three A: if you got him/her from a breeder which breeder did you get your ball python from? Please provide a link or something to help me find them.
Four: How quickly did you get your snake after finding where you wished to buy your ball python from?
Five: Is your ball python a "normal/basic morph" or a "designer morph"?

PLEASE ping me so I can see your replies! Thanks!

Hey there, Lddar! Alright, down to business. I, myself, am not allowed to own a reptile because of some health issues that I hope will be resolved sooner rather than later. But, while I do not own my own, I do have experience and knowledge with reptiles, snakes and lizards especially.
First, I live in the backwoods of PA. ;) There are almost no pet stores around here that deal in anything but the 'normal' fluffies and water breathers. :P But, I do have a friend who breeds for private sale to others. He mostly breeds nothing but designer paintjobs, but he also has a couple of more basic paintjobs! He often goes out of town, so he trained me to be able to handle and care for his reptiles while he's away. I've learnt everything from him! When he gets new stock, he buys from breeders, as he knows how they care for their animals, and that the animals he's buying has been in captivity for generations. The breeder he mostly buys from is BHB reptiles, Also the host of the Web series Snake Bytes! Now, when he was buying his first reptile, he made sure to read up on care, diseases, costs, and he also had already found a vet who dealt with reptiles. When he was sure he'd be able to properly care for a snake, and spot and care for common diseases, he went out to his first reptile show and bought a few basic paint jobs. Please keep in mind he bought already started snakes, aka "Teenagers". He didn't think himself fit for the job of caring for a wriggling little baby! I'm gonna list a few videos below, which I found helpful in deciding on care and exactly which snake I'd like.
Top Beginner Snakes
Ball Python Feeding techniques and results
Taming Ball Pythons
Ball Python Age and Size
Ball Pythons-SnakeBytes TV

There are, of course, a lot of other videos and channels, and if you go digging through the two channels I presented you'll find a lot of cool videos! ^^

Aw, I wish I could help, but all I can say is that I live in California and I doth have a ball python or any pet, due to my apartment not allowing pets. My friend has a snake named rusty, but I'm not sure what breed he is.

That's ok. I live in California too, and if it wasn't for the dr. notes my fianc and I wouldn't have any pets as our complex doesn't allow pets that don't help with medical conditions. In other words the animals need to be an Emotional Support animal or a Service Dog(service dog in training), other wise they aren't allowed.

Ame here. I don't need a service/guide dog, but they're allowed in my complex. XD
