Are the things on its head horns or ears? I can't tell if they're backward-pointed ears or just horns

They're ears, but can be drawn like horns (their ears point back and fold closed when they aren't alert/hostile, like a rolled up paper tube. Sorry I don't have a species sheet I could have given you with the ref!)
