Hello, everyone.
A few weeks ago, one of the concerns frequently mentioned was in regards to improving the moderation of Sylestia's Chats and Forums. In response to that, I have been improving the back-end support available to us to moderate Chats and Forums. Additionally, I am happy to announce that Fimbry will be our first official Site Moderator. She will be helping us by being another person that players can talk with and by utilizing our moderating tools as needed.
Players can always voice their questions and concerns with myself, or the other site staff, as needed. It seems that a lot of times when players think that we are ignoring a problem, it's simply because we haven't been made aware of said problem. I assure you, though, that we are always concerned with such issues and will always do our best to keep Sylestia a fun and friendly place for everyone willing to make it that way.

While I have no reason to suspect any particular issues in this case (I don't think I've interacted with you much, Fimbry, but I'm looking forward to seeing you around more!), I was hoping you could share a bit more about how having player moderators will work in general, given the inherent bias of a player being a moderator.
Krin, I thought you had previously mentioned that you specifically did not want to make any players into mods for that reason. But maybe I'm remembering that wrong?
Regardless, I'm just wondering how this will be set up so that if players are made into mods, they don't end up moderating in their own favour? (again, nothing against Fimbry in particular, I'm excited to see you join the mod team, just curious about the process overall)

I think fimbry will do just fine, they're also one of the site artists, so thats pretty cool.
