Older player here. Just a bit to know: Please don't send me random friend requests. I am a ridiculously paranoid person, and someone randomly sending out friend invites when we've never spoken or interacted tends to trigger that.
Not saying you can't approach me. But if we have never spoken in RC, on the forums, in DMs, or on Discord, chances are I will deny your request. It's nothing personal, I just don't know who you are and my paranoia likely has been aroused.
Better bet is to send me a DM and say 'Hey, I'd like to get to know you.' at the very least. I don't bite, I promise. And if you've sent me a request before that I denied, really, I don't hate you nor will I refuse to speak to you. It is literally just me being paranoid, and we can still be eventual friends later if we connect.
