Previously on Dawn of darkness the next generation of my little pony
It was the beautiful sunny day when the pastel star a delivery Pony accidentally bumped into luna's student a stallion called obsidian together they introduce themselves obsidian were quite impressed with the young sillies physical strength carien the heavy parcel meanwhile a sleepy Nyx was woken up by Babybell scream of distress at becoming trapped when a branch got loaded into her answers and now being temporarily blinded she ran her into the woods thankfully Nyx managed to dislodge the branch and lead her back to safety of Ponyville and bunped into hr old friend Obsidian soon the four ponies leaned that the pasel was for Nyx her brand new night guard armour and soon Nyx introduced Babybell to the group but before she finished the introduction baby bell's shyness became to strong the young mare quickly excused herself explaining that she had things to take care of and a stool to run leaving the cute and colourful filly pastel star and Student Obsidian with the Obsidian black coloured coat and the kind bat pony echo alone and pastel star expressed kind concern for the shy pony hoping she gain more corurage one day qhen suddenly in the distance a bright lights suddenly appeared apon the horizon


Back to present

Nyx immediately notice the light being part of the royal guard she was used for keeping her guard up being aware of her surroundings she looked over at Obsidian "hey look!" She responded and pointed at the light and back at pastel star " I apologise for leaving but something has come up and part of the royal guard I must investigate it come on shadow you nust come to" she said her voice now actually matched her job stern, stong and takes nothing from no one soon Obsidian horn started to glow bright neon blue and the female Bat pony and the black and red stallion disappeared ( teleportation) and appeared a few feet away from the source of the Unknown light

Obsidian aporn arriving levitated the parcel Nyx had not long ago received because another spell making the night guard armour appear upon Nyx's body "let's go i won't inform the princess just yet it could be nothing at all" he said softly but kept his guard up he definitely know his fair share of tax and defence spells just in case something like a threat arose though this would be the first time he he had to use them outside of training "i hope pastel star safe and sound " he said

The beam of light dissipated. A tall figure stood there, its mane and tail flowing slightly behind it in a mimic of a dusky dawn. As the light faded The alicorn swayed some. His wings went out to steady him yet it wasn't enough and he collapsed.

Nyx's eyes widened and she ran over as fast as she could towards the collapsed alicorn and laid down next to him he seemed familiar like she had heard about him in a book or from an evedropprd conversation or perhaps a photograph "Obsidian i think its best you go and locate the princess either should be fine " she said looking down at the alicron and nuzzled him to see if he would wake up but unfortunately he was still unconscious he seemed rather weak perhaps he used to much magic or physical strenuous activity "and please check if he's injured " she said softly

Obsidian nodded and levitated the mysterious alicon so his head was resting in Nyx side as a pillow and her wing was over him keeping him warm and safe and then used his magic to check him for injuries hopefully it wasn't anything serious. Much like Nyx something about this Alicorn seemed familiar

He didnt resist, nor move as he was repositioned. Several scraps and bruises covered his sides as well as a few burn marks. The sky began to darken then, like a shadow being cast over the entire landscape. A wicked laugh accompanied the approaching darkness. Another beam filled the sky, this one blue and black in color. It shot forward right to the castle.

Obsidian and Nyx's eyes widened as they follow the light to the castle and exchanged concerned and worried looks something was going on. Obsidian looked at Nyx and smiled "stay there and keep watch i will return with Princess celestia or luna or Twilight if anything happens we will meet at our safe zone" he said and placed his satchel down beside Nyx "inside is a invisibility potion please keep safe" he said and stepped back and used his magic to teleport tours Princess Luna and Celestia Castle hopeing to find one or the first he came across.

Nyx watched Obsidian leave and looked at the Alicorn with a worried expression worried about him she also thought he was rather handsome must be alicon genes or something she looked at where the light into "creppy very creppy" she said and returned her attention to the mane stranger

Back in the castle, it was chaos. Guards were rushing here and there, explosions could be heard, glass shattered. In the throne room it was a full on battle. Dark minions filled the room, over taking Celestia as she fought to keep them off. Twilight was no where to be seen. Upon the throne a dark mare sat, laughing maniacally at the scene before her. Behind Celestia a starry portal appeared. The minions corralled her back towards it. Dark tendrils of the night sky reached forward taking hold of the princess and dragging her back into the portal.

The alicorn stirred lightly, grimacing as he moved. N-nightmarenightmare Moon he said in a low voice.

Obsidian looked around completely sure on what he should do he couldn't say anyone that looks free enough to talk to and explain he had found a random animal in the woods when he saw Celestia using his magic he levitated the various rubble and shot them towards the dark minions "You're Highness Run" he called out as he ran towards her kicking and bucking any threat that came his way he ran towards Celestia hoping to save her

Nyx froze up nightmare moon did he mean Luna "princess L-luna?" Oh no" she said and looked around and back at the castle she felt worried as a royal guard in training she should be helping and back at the alicron "My name is Nyx trainee Royal night guard of Princesses Luna,Twilight and Celestia. You're safe with me and what do you mean by nightmare moon?" She asked she thought Twilight and her friends fixed thst problem she was worried and scared

Celestia flared her wings yet more tendrils came out and took hold of her wings. Despite her trying she wasnt able to fight back. Slowly she was pulled back, disappearing into the portal. Nightmare Moon tossed her head back cackling.

S-shesshe is headed to the castle he whispered trying to get his legs under him enough to stand. He was too weak to get up. I tried to stopto stop her

Obsidian growled and ran towards his teacher who was now nightmare moon "Luna! Stop it now she's you're sister and I'm you're friend and Student" he said upset and dispointed in his teacher how could she do this in a desperate attempt he and knocked luna off the throne "Luna stop don't become that monster again" he said hoping somome can help

Nyx helped him up "please be careful luna Student has went over their to bring her back" she repiled and looked at the castle they had Guards and several live in night guards "he should have been back by now something happened" she thought she had to do something
