This is a weird one, but I'd like to begin by saying that a lot of people overprice pets. It's not the worst problem in the world, and of course everyone has a right to price their pets how they want; but if the goal is to sell your pets, and it's not happening, but you think you've priced them right, then what's next?
A lot of people price pets based on the Advanced Search; and it is definitely an understandable thing to do. I do it myself sometimes, honestly. The problem with this, though, is that it only showcases what's left - that is to say, the things that people refused to buy, most likely because they were already too expensive. People then going to price similar pets might price it based on what's left on the AS - making another pet that no one wants to buy because of the price, and then therefore perpetuating expensive, overpriced pets that will never get taken down.
Again, it's not the biggest problem in the world, but I think, at least for themed pets, something like what we see for the trade broker might be a good fix. You know, that box that tells you how much an item is being sold for? As well as how much that item was bought for previously?
It's a weird thing to ask for, I know - and it would probably take work, so I don't see it being implemented soon - plus, there's the question of non-themed pets - how do you characterize those? (Maybe by vis? But that's even more work ahaha).
I just think it's something that should be kept in mind, I guess? For the future. It would greatly help the overpriced pet market, I think.

That's definitely an interesting idea. It would be neat if it could further be broken down by traits as well.

In the anniversary post krin mentioned that a pet broker system like item broker is in the works

As Kaitt said, we are planning a massive new feature: the Pet Broker. It will address a ton of Pet economy related issues. We are planning on getting this released sometime this year.
