Shiawase facepalms. "Just. . .let me get something to help." Putting her hands together, a bright light blooms between her palms. It elongates and fades, leaving in her hands. . .a stick.

She brings it over to Kanashimi and takes his hand, folding the stick into it. "There. Put your weight on that."

Itami lets go of Kanashimi, who wobbles, but doesn't fall - mostly because of the stick and Shiawase supporting him.

Well, that's cheating, Itami says. Giving him a stick to stand. That's like having three legs.

The pup wriggles, wanting to see the stranger. When it sees their figure, it barks and ducks its head down.

Kanashimi is focusing on trying to open their eyes all the way - which is proving to be a greater struggle than it really should be. But, after a few minutes, they manage it, slowly looking around.

Even if it's been almost a century, there's no way you should've forgotten how to do something this simple, Itami says. Sometimes I do hate to call you a sibling of mine, Kanashimi. It's. . .pretty pitiful.

"Oh, leave him be. None of us even saw anyone until a few days ago," Shiawase retorts.
