No, of course not. That's no fun, Itami says, laughing a little. Now I'm going to continue, if you please. . .ahem. Their raid was unsuccessful, to say the least. Chaos told Hitari to leave a survivor - the man that lived ran back in a wild panic, claiming some wendigo or devil had torn through them. So then there was another cause for no one to go there. . .yet no one moved their home from that place. Hitari and Chaos alike both grew curiously to their unyielding. . .well, adamancy, or ignorance. Perhaps both.

". . .they didn't even say much about it," Hitari says quietly. "Just a few days of skirting around the edge of the trees. It was. . .strange, to say the least. . ."

Rin is still listening. It's curious how something as brutal as Itami can spin such a yarn, even if, as Hitari says, it is over-exaggerated.

Oh, probably guilt, Itami says, sounding like he doesn't care. He did get rid of all those survivors.

"That's part of it, yes," Hitari murmurs. "But it's more than that. . .and I'm. . .not going to share what it is."

Why not? Itami presses. There is nothing to fear. I'll even get the information myself if you do not.

That. . .wouldn't be good, Kanashimi whispers to you. If Itami tries to. . .oh, yeah, possess him, I'll try to do it first. . .

"Yeah, do that," Rin says quickly.

Then, uhm. . .I'll just be ready, just in case. . . With their last word, Kanashimi's form swirls into mist and dissipates. Hopefully they can get there before Itami, if he decides to forcefully take Hitari's withheld info.

"I am not sharing that piece of my life," Hitari hisses.

Then I will, Itami says as he turns into mist like Kanashimi.

Hitari stumbles back and looks between you two. "Uhm, I think I'm going to. . .not stay right here." He turns around and starts to jog away.

". . .oh, yeah," Shiawase says. "Itami's a spirit. . ." She glances at you nervously, then in confusion. "Uhm, where's Kanashimi. . .?"

"I don't know," Rin says quickly. "He just.... disappeared? Where'd he go?" He turns around, trying to look as baffled as possible.
