Itami stares at Shiawase, then sits down, facing her. And that is what you think of Loneliness. What do you think of Pain, Happiness?

She blinks, not expecting that reaction. "Uh. . .it's something that everything shares a bit of definition in. Its embodiment is not wrathful or evil, but. . .like a normal person."

Hitari leans against the wall, watching Shiawase talk with half-closed eyes and blurry vision. Why. . .why does she sound so confident about her replies? Shia can't even tell us apart correctly. . .

Kanashimi nervously glances between everybody, feeling the tension. C-can we all just. . .calm down?

"THANK YOU, Kanashimi," Rin says tensely. Felix, whose stomach is bulging, shrinks away a little bit.

"Well, you didn't do anything, Hitari," Shiawase says. "Probably because you know it's true. As for Itami - " She twists around to glance at Hitari, who is still leaning against the wall shakily. ". . .Itami?"

Getting up, she walks over to him and puts a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"

Hitari takes her wrist and slides her hand off. "Please don't."

Shiawase withdraws, confused.

Shiawase tries to put her hand up again, but Hitari shakes his head. "Shia, I said don't. I. . .don't feel good."

She looks between everyone, clearly confused and thinking she's missing something. "But. . .we can't get sick, Itami. . ."

Itami chuckles to himself. I mean, you can get mentally sick.

Shiawase glares at him. "Not helpful, Hitari."

Hitari laughs a little. "'Not helpful.' If that doesn't sum up everything, I don't know what will." He turns his glazed gaze to Itami. "Having fun, Itami? Having fun watch it all? Reveling around?"

Itami shrugs. Not how I thought most of this would be, but it's still pretty interesting.

Shiawase glances between the two. "Itami. . .?"

Wow, you're an idiot, Itami mutters. Once we all got split apart for a few months you really got it mixed up.

Jeez. They're like the members of some big demented family. Rin shudders.

What he means to say is that you're an idiot that somehow got an immortal mortal and one of your practically-siblings mixed up, Itami says, relishing each word. You're dense, you know that? Hitari didn't even want to tell you because he didn't want to be alone.

Shiawase looks wildly upset and confused as she falls to a sitting position.

And now you're breaking, Itami continues, in the beginning of a snarl. You can feel despair sinking in, flooding over your very purpose and meaning -

"Shut up," Hitari says, sounding blank. "We both know you're pushing for more than just a single person's mind."

I'm not sure if I like or dislike what you're implying, Hitari. Trying to play the lone hero? Itami asks mockingly.

This. . .isn't good, Kanashimi murmurs, sounding scared. Either Shiawase will run away, or Itami will take Hitari, or. . .I don't know. . .!

Rin looks at Kanashimi fearfully. "We've gotta do something, but what?!"
