Itami chuckles to himself. Just because I didn't kill the kid doesn't mean I didn't have fun with them. He waves at you. Hi there, kid. Heh.

"Nope," Rin says with mock cheerfulness in his voice. "Haven't felt save this whole [dang] time, thank you very much for asking."

"Oh, no problem," Shiawase replies with the same tone. "After all, I'm here to make people feel happy and cared for."

Ah, yes, Itami says. You care so very much, Shiawase. Too much, I think. Happiness is your dedication, yet you are nothing but a feeling or a thought to nearly everything and everyone. Does that not make you. . .yearn for some recognition?

She turns a light shade of red, but calms down quickly. "In the end, everyone gets what they want. No matter the cost, their happiest moment will come."

Meanwhile, by the house, Hitari is retching. For some reason. He's probably fine (:

Why am I getting sick? This has never been an issue - Hitari coughs mid-thought and continues being sick.

Itami glances back at Hitari. Hm. He's never been sick before. . .interesting. I wonder if that a new type of pain as well as experience.

"Probably from being around you," Shiawase mutters. "Loneliness is a toxic thing, especially if you're living with the embodiment of it."

Rin presently feels about as powerful and significant as a dying earthworm. He has absolutely no idea what he should so- what he CAN do, for that matter.
