U-uh. . .I - Kanashimi stutters, clearly frightened.

Itami draws a finger across his neck silently.

Kanashimi gulps. Y-yeah, sorry, I-I was. . .uh, just s-surprised at how many mice I managed to find. . . They walk over and sit (hover in a sitting position?) beside you, somehow looking pale.

Hitari watches Kanashimi, looking a little wary. "Are you sure?"

Y-yeah, they reply, offering a mouse to Felix.

Felix climbs down Rin, away from Itami, and greedily gulps down the mouse. He is becoming very fond of Kanashimi XDDD

Kanashimi smiles shakily and keeps feeding Felix, trying to ignore Itami standing beside you two.

Hitari keeps glancing between you and Kanashimi, feeling like something is wrong.

Shiawase is still being stubborn - nothing's changed there.

"Kanashimi, you lied. Something's. . .off," Hitari says after a while. "I don't know what, but. . ."

Rin is beginning to shake a little, afraid of what Itami will do if he tells and Hitari will do if he doesn't.

No, n-nothing's wrong, Kanashimi squeaks.

They either find out now, or they find out later, Itami says. You better decide which one is the least hazardous to your health.

Hitari narrows his eyes. "Kanashimi."

Shiawase glances at you two. "You're both tense and unhappy about something."

Rin shrinks further into himself, trying to make a decision. "Um."

Kanashimi looks at you helplessly, not knowing what to do.

Itami walks around, coming to stand behind Shiawase. He holds a hand above her shoulder. Indecision will bring you nowhere. Either way, my job will be done.

Hitari sighs in exasperation. "Just tell us, guys. It can't get any worse."

Looking at Itami, then Kanashimi, then Hitari and Shiawase, Rin takes a deep breath and blurts: "Guys-it's-Itami-he's-standing-right-there-and-I-don't-know-what-he's-doing!"

Everyone stares at you for a moment until Shiawase starts talking, pointing at Hitari. ". . .yes, he is right here. Uh. . .good observation, Rin. . ."

Hitari turns pale and tries to glance behind himself without moving his head, but doesn't say anything.

Kanashimi's image flickers, and they look scared as they move back a little.

Itami tilts his head, hand still hovering above Shiawase. Would you like to elaborate?
