Itami's hard to see - just a three-dimensional shadow standing at your side. What anyone else watching a story like this would want. Some entertainment. He points at Shiawase. I haven't seen her break for a long time, mostly because it's hard to work her up. Does Happiness falling into despair not sound. . .exciting?

"Exciting. I could think of some other words for it," Rin hisses. "Deadly, perhaps?"

Itami shrugs. Eh, maybe for you. . .ugh, I can't imagine being mortal. You die once and then you're gone. If we were talking about everyone I would say "damaging" is the better word.

Hitari glances up at you. "Are you okay? You're kinda. . .muttering to yourself." He doesn't appear to be able to see Itami.

Rin realizes Itami is invisible to the others. He instinctively glares at the shadowy creature and sits down. "...Yeah. I'm fine."

Itami stays standing, chuckling a little. Oh, this is fun when they can't see or hear. I never get to do this.

Hitari nods, seeming to believe you. ". . .I'm. . .sorry. There's - so much is happening. It's good that you're okay, though." He shakily sighs. "I don't know what I'm going to do."

As he talks, Shiawase turns a little bit, watching him out of the corner of her eye.

Rin pointedly ignores Itami. Maybe Shiawase and Hitari will.... at least make some sort of amends?

Hitari laughs a little to himself. "You think if I ran into a tree headfirst fast enough, this (as he gestures to himself) would be fixed?"

Wow, Hitari really doesn't know what to do, Itami says, walking around him, peering. He's desperate, he's confused, he's lonely, and a little angry. The whole bundle, all from just setting back his clock.

Shiawase smiles a little bit, but quickly wipes it off her face.

And Shia, Shiawase - Itami continues, pacing around her. She's confused, and she wants to see how he changed. She's unwilling to accept that he's fixed to this point. He shrugs. And she clearly doesn't pay enough attention to who's who.

Rin feels a chill run up his spine. Itami nailed it on the head. "How...?"

When you're stuck in the same place for over a century, you learn to pay attention to things, Itami mutters. And it's the same lesson every time. Don't trust anyone, plan to kill everyone you meet, and memorize every detail given to you. It's that easy.

. . .I'm back. . . Kanashimi drifts back from the trees, both hands holding mice. There's a lot of - They stop halfway through their sentence and stare at Itami with a slightly panicked expression.

Oh, I forgot about him, Itami mutters.

Hitari looks quizzically at Kanashimi. "Uh, you good?"
