"Let's say it really, really has been that long." He looks up at Kanashimi. "Neither of you saw Itami once, in almost half a decade? Doesn't that seem a little. . .you know."

Kanashimi glances between you two. I - I mean, no, we never saw him - but, we know he hasn't left. . . They take a breath to concentrate on talking normally. No, we never saw Itami, but. . .we saw things really only he could've done. . .

Rin strokes Felix, who nuzzles into his hand, nervously.

. . .and he usually goes on walks at night, Kanashimi chimes in.

"Yeah, that too."

That rhymes, Rin thinks in an oddly demented sort of way.
"Yeah. You're right about that. And yeah, I've seen Itami." He shudders at the memories. "If you're sure you want to know."

Kanashimi looks at you curiously, but also with a little fear. You've. . .seen Itami. . .and you're alive? How?

Hitari nods at you. "If you're comfortable with it, I'd. . .like to know some more. No one's ever had favor from him. . ."

"Alright," Rin sighs. "I'll pick up where I left off. Just.... tell me if you want me to stop, okay? I'd rather not get murdered."

Hitari, it means don't get worked up. . .you tend to get. . .uh. . .violent, when you do, Kanashimi says.

"So yeah. I told you I woke up in the forest, wandered to your place. That.... wasn't today. It was two days ago, actually. Knocked on the door, asking for help. You were wary at first. Asked me if I was Itami."

Hitari stares at you blankly. "Are you sure that wasn't, like. . .ah, no they're dead. . ." He trails off into thought, not seeming to remember what you're talking about.

He had a lost child walk up to him once, Kanashimi murmurs. That. . .didn't go very well. . .but with how he thinks time has passed, I suppose that would only feel like about six months ago. . .

Rin fiddles with his staff a little, then continues. "You... wound up letting me in," Rin says gingerly. "We talked for a while, but when night came I left. You warned me to try and stay up in the trees, so I did. It's a good thing, too. That's.... where I saw Itami for the first time."
