Rin listens in to their conversation, mildly intrigued. Huh, curious.

Shiawase stares at him. "Fourty-one years, seven months, three days, nine hours, and sixteen minutes."

". . .please tell me you're kidding about how long, and how you counted it."

Rin's eyes widen. Whoa. I mean, I lose track of time sometimes, but that's a DRASTICALLY different timeframe.

"I - don't know - " He tries to get out of her grip, but she's determined.

"What do you mean you don't know? You've been gone for almost half a century!"

Hey, I'm back, Kanashimi says, drifting in from the trees, carrying a handful of dead mice by the tails. Uhh. . .

They turn to you. What are they arguing about. . .?

Rin frowns, but realizes it's technically correct. THIS Hitari only met Rin today.

He raises his hands - whether in self-defense or keeping himself calm, you don't know. "What do you want me to do, then? I'm. . .not going to kill him."

She stares back at him coolly. "Why not?"

Hitari's expression turns to confusion, then back to being blank. "I'm. . .curious about how he lived despite certain encounters. That's all."

Kanashimi, no longer paying attention to the couple arguing, gives Felix two more mice.

Rin's eyes pop a little at the mention of killing him. He pretends to be wholly absorbed by the feeding of Felix.
