"You hold grudges then?" said Cesura when the other dragon was finished," I'm taking mental note of that just so you know." Cesura was always doing that. You never know when it might come in handy.

She then looked up at the sky and sun.

-Almost mid-day-

"You should get yourself out of sight. Our target will be here soon." She said smoothly.

"No grudges," she said while going over to a cluster of bushes. "Just making sure everything is... right."

She hesitated on the last word, still not sure if what she had done was right. She had always been taught to treat others based on your past experiences of them, and the threat they posed. She didn't want to have to be the enemy of other dragons... she wanted to make more friends, like Cesura and Kona.

Hunkering down in the bushes after brushing away her footprints she left in the gravelly dirt behind her, she thought about the dragoness and Skaaul. She had payed back the debt because she didn't want to be their enemy, at least. Maybe she also wanted to be their friend. But now she wasn't so sure if what she had been taught was the way to make friends.

It all didn't make any sense. She didn't know what else she could have done to get their attention and to show she wanted to be their equal, and their friend... it was all so confusing. It just made her loathe her mentors even more, for stealing away her childhood and making her into this barely-functioning excuse for a dragon.

She shook her head. Now was not the time. In the limited visibility of the bush, she closed her eyes and focused on her hearing. When the target neared, she would hear.

"We should quickly devise a signal for the time when you want me to take her out," she said briefly, still listening out for the target.

"How about this?" Cesura swept her tail across the ground, the small spines on the end of it making a rustling and scraping sound.

"Affirmative," Elenor said shortly. "I will make it quick and painless."

This time she wouldn't get stingy about making it a clean kill. Cesura had been different - she had been incredibly similar to her brother. Now she knew she had to get over it if she was going to keep her friends safe - from threats either immediate or not.

The feeling of being partialy made of fire was odd, especialy during deplacements, it wasn't painfull just slightly anoying like an itch out of your reach, without the rage and sadness swirling around is head, almost blinding him, it was alot easyer to actualy notice that change. Of course he was still very mad at the dragoness to have push Zilla to her breaking point, not enough to push him to do somthing more stupid then he already had but enough to still be keeping an eye out for her small shape. His wandering had lead him dangerously close to the side of the city without him realising it, it was still bright enough for the embers that were now littering his tail and back not to give him a ghost like appearence but not enough to allow him to fly without raising any questions.

"Good because here she comes." Their target could be heard before seen.
"Together through snow-fall and sorrow, we stride- oh Cesura I wasn't expecting you!" said the elderly dragoness, small hints of fear in her voice, "I suppose you are here to discuss your payment?"
"Yes, yes I am." said Cesura evenly, waiting for the dragoness to come closer. Finally, the dragon came into the range for Elenor's strike. Cesura swept her tail across the ground with a sshhrrrkk, hiding the motion by standing up.

She heard the signal, sticking her snout out of the bush to evaluate the situation by sight.

This won't do, Elenor thought. Cesura was in the way of Elenor's killing pounce - just enough to make the trajectory unreliable.

She slid out from the bush, out of the target's line of sight, moving into a better position. Cesura would just have to keep the dragoness busy.

Cesura expected Elenor to pounce, but nothing came. So she kept talking, "You see... this target is... different. She is highly trained and very formidable. It was hard to take her down and I expect my pay to be heightened because of it."
"Well I uhh.." Stammered the sickly green dragon, unaware to Elenor's movement, "I keep almost all my gold on my person so I-I could pay you now!" she took a fearful step back as she fell under Cesura's gaze.

The dragon was quickly getting spooked - the sort of candidate likely to start blabbering to anyone near them about what they've seen. The sort of dragon who needed to be silenced as soon as possible.

Putting aside her doubts about what was right, purely focusing on the threat this dragon posed, Elenor jumped. She had manouvered around to the back of the dragoness, so she arced through the air directly onto her back. Pinning the dragon's wings to her sides, Elenor swiftly pulled her neck round.

She nimbly jumped off the target as she slumped to the ground.

"You got in the way," was all Elenor said as she looked at the limp form lying in the dirt. She moved on swiftly. "Where do we put it?"

"Of the side I guess." She said, taking a large gold pouch from the body.
