Cesura pricked up her ears hearing wingbeats. They were only a little bit quieter and faster than normal dragons but she already knew it was Elenor. The smoke from the fire should lead the small dragoness to her.

Zilla began back towards town. She sighed. She would have to return the book then get some supplies and return home. She was back to her regular sulking self. She couldnt help it any longer, she began to full out sob. She slowly walked back to the archive. She went inside and gave back the book to the archives keeper, then left. Her tail dragged along the floor as she walked aimlessly around town.

Once on the ground of the city he allow himself to to look back to the scenary beneth him, a glimer of gold caugh his eye. At first he though it was from the fire he had lit up but it was quickly disproved, sparks of golden flame were clingning to his scales without causing any pain to him. He coudn't stop himself from whispering in surprise " no way ..." his surprise was short notice however before reality dawn on him like an ice blade, now that he had activated it how was he suposed to stop it ? To him, his flame, his cursed gift, was only draging him down, turing all tentative to have a normal live to ashes.

Zilla continued to walk about town. Every bit of her wanted to go back and check on Skaaul, but she resisted. She made her way to an almost deserted part of town. Nearly no one was around. She found a small patch of grass off to the side of the road and collapsed there. Though she knew she would have to start heading home soon, she let herself fall asleep. She figured that she wouldnt sleep long. As she slept, she kept the notebook close to her chest.

He had chose to hide near the blooming cherry trees. There was an artificial pond not too far away from there and he had dive in attempting to put those flames out but the golden stain on his scales had somthing else in reserve for him. He quickly scramble out of the water choking down a roar of pain as it felt like his very skin had been cut oppen, apparently the flames were not only anoyingly bright, they were also literaly part of his being at the momen ... joy, not realy. He sigh and curl under the nearest tree, wondering how mutch torment he was going to have to endure from that so called gift, at least the flames were not a fire hazard at the moment, hopefully.

Zilla woke up nearly an hour later. She looked terrified. She stumbled backwards a few feet. She tripped, causing her to fall back. She laid there for a few minutes, sort of stunned. When she did finally sit up, she still didnt feel fully there. She took a deep breath. She closed her eyes for a second then began to walk towards the market so she could get what she needs before heading home.

While his gaze was glued on the fire dots on his tail his mind was wandering on what had happen, part of him wanted to make his scales fully dissepear under the flames and go hunt the unnown dragoness for what she had done but it would also mean that he would be stuck forever as a raging inferno of golden flame. He wasn't ready to deal with the concequances and implication of it, the dots could still be seen as some odd coloration of his scales to some extent, not a full on coat of flames. Zilla cross his mind, was she safe ? Was she back to mopping around like before their encounter ? If he had said somting else instead, she would still be there and he woudn't have bother with those questions but he respected her choices.

Thing is, I think Elenor literally just completely annihlated the lives and futures of two dragons because Skaaul made her feel like she was back in her childhood hell ._.)

Happy with her altitude and speed so far, she stopped flapping and let herself glide soundlessly through the mountains. She looked around at her surroundings, wondering if this was what 'beautiful scenery' was.

In the corner of her eye, she saw a faint pillar of smoke. She swooped around, diving down towards it. She landed a few moments later, as if appearing from nowhere, trotting over to Cesura.

"I sorted out the debts owed to me, apologies for it taking so long," she said, standing at attention. "I had to dispatch a hunter and track my target through the swamps. However I completed my mission and gained my retribution."

Still, her success just didn't feel right. Like she hadn't done the right thing... using the dragoness like that.

If it will stop you moaning, she thought angrily to herself, then keep an eye out for her later when you and Cesura head back to town to make your alibi. The Fire Bringer will probably gut you from head to tail, but go and do it if that's what'll make you happy.

By curiosity he delicatly lift the side of one of the scales that had been clamed by his flame to reveal an ocean of fire running beneth it and onto his skin. He shucke humourlessly, it was in his blood alright, maby in another time and another world he would have embraced that and become one with the sun like fire but here and now, it was only a burden he had never chose to carry. He let the scale go back to her original place and look at the open sky between the trees in bloom, staying here and think of the past would not change anything. Taking adventage of the crowded streets he start to wander around, glaring at anyone who would dare look at him.

Zilla bought a large bag of berries and nuts with her remaining coins. She sighed. She knew she would be flying all night unless she stayed in an inn but she didnt want to stick around any longer. Though she had planned on visiting the grave one last time, she decided against it. She started towards the edge of town so she could take off.
