Fire away." He walks over to one of the stumps from a large felled tree and sits down defiantly. Felix lands on his lap, spoiling some of the dramatic effect. The strange golden aura emanating from Rin contrasts dramatically with Hitari's shadow.

Hitari sits against a stump as well, facing you. "I mean, if death'll make you happy. . ." He shrugs. "Then I'm all for it."

The shadows rolling off him cut into the stump, making it brittle and dry. He watches it with blank interest. "Isn't life just. . .interesting. It's fragile, it knows that, but it still tries to struggle."

Hitari is hugging someone you've never seen before - a tall girl with platinum hair reaching past her waist, wearing a plain white slip and matching slides.

Both of them appear to be crying out of joy.

A few feet behind them, a transparent figure hovers above the ground, clapping silently.
