Elizabeth entered the room, and smiled sympathetically to Kimani," Hey Kimi.. you're looking a lot better. " She said softly, walking over to him and offering him a small piece of bread, a bit of cheese, and some grapes. " It isn't very much, but I think that it could help you. I already ate.. so I am okay for now. " She hadn't ate, but she didn't want to fight him about eating or not eating due to it.

Kimani turned his attention to Elizabeth. He looked at the food, but he didn't want any. It almost made him sick. Some part of him said that she had risked herself to get this food, so he should take. He took it gently, putting the cheese on the bread and eating it slowly. He covered his right eye with his other hand, because it looked sickening without any bandages. His gaze looked more dead than alive as he ate, but a lot of the times you couldn't tell if he was even alive with how emotionless he was.
Wren shook her head softly. "Kimi will be okay when it heals. I just have to keep it from getting infected in this dirty place... I-I couldn't get him to tell me what happened... But I know he doesn't talk so it was a bit hopeless... I know he has his reasons."
Kimani stared at the ground, trying to get himself to finish his cheese.

Elizabeth nodded to Puyo, and then turned her attention to Wren after kimani had taken the food. " Just be glad he's alive n' breathin', could be worlds worse if ya ask me. Besides, I think it makes him look strong.. It hurts now, but all things must hurt to heal.. At least that's what Rowan says. I don't think things should hurt if they're healin'. Makes no sense, none at all. "

Elliott hadn't moved yet, daydreaming. She had a family somewhere...or at least, she had at one point. Maybe her mother had the same blonde hair as she did. Maybe she had her father's nose. Maybe she had a little brother, or a nice dog, or both. Maybe they lived on a little farm in the country, with cows and sheep, and chickens. Maybe her father took out the old mule to the fields in the afternoons, while her mother baked peach pies in the kitchen and her brother collected the eggs from he chickens. Her job could be milking the cows, or picking from the fruit trees, herding the sheep, or even -

Blood welled at her cheek.

Ifera looked at the man but ignored him. She watched one one of the other children point him inside. She rose from where she was sitting, grabbed a lot more wood than she could carry and made her way to the front of the house. When she rounded the corner she got scared by Rowan's sudden appearance and accidentally dropped some of the wood. She scowled as a blush creeped to her face and she quickly bent down to hide it.
