*sigh* Using store bought equipment makes the pets so damn OP they one shot literally everything in zone 1

It feels ... odd for a 'hardcore' playthrough but, hey, I intend to get this party to the Lost Grove

(and oh crap I forgot about the nuzlocke rule i had in place)

Seems like a good run idea to me if you're getting your pets to TLG. Having the WYSIWYG armor rule in place for your pets is really hard to get them into higher zones.

Seems like earth water light is a very popular element combo now xD I'll try my best to get my hardcore team to the DoF but I'm not completely sure what will come after that.

you'll be fine for now until your party hits about level 25. At this point you won't get much xp from the nightfall bandit camp so you'll probably think about moving on to Umbra Forest or the Dungeon.

If you don't have decent gear on them then (stuff found out in the wild won't be decent) DON'T go to those areas, especially the dungeon yet (unless you want to risk killing off your party). You may want to try out raids and missions to grind to level 30 instead.

welp, my party is nearly level 30 and is breezing through content. I still feel like I'm somehow 'cheating' by using good armour, but there isn't really an alternative except to grind missions.

I'm pretty sure things will escalate once I get to about level 65+

I do have some pretty decent level 20+ gear that I have in my inventory, so that should be fine when I do get them leveled up till then. Right now my party is still super defensive and has not been close to being knocked out once :P

Personally I'd say levels 1-25 are really easy because they are only meant for 1-2 party pets.

EDIT: I ran into the nightfall bandit camp with my level 13 party and they seem to be doing surprisingly well...

@Ama, for pauper party, one of the challenges of not using gold is being stuck with your proficiency choices the first time... (this is different from randomised proficiency). I'd say leave it plain "no gold" on the front page without exceptions (for that optional rule)...

Just realized I had only armor and no bracelets/relics for level 25. LOL! Will be a challenge...
Might do a quick dungeon run with my regular party to obtain some gear for them.


EDIT: Party is now level 17. Things are moving rather fast paced now.
