As soon as you move, to your horror, the foal spooks and bolts in a different direction of it's assumed parent.

I curse then look to see what the parent does perhaps he saw the foal? if not I go after the foal. careful to keep a safe distance away and waiting for it to calm down.

As the foal bursts out of the tall grass, the parent catches sight of it and rushes over, frantically checking if it's okay. Once they realize their baby is unhurt, they look around and catch sight of you. The mother, you now realize, pins her ears and bares her teeth. Now that the foal is no longer obstructed by the grass, you can see it and it's mother more clearly.

You look at the river again. It looks the same as before, though you do catch some ripples in the water that suggest there are fish.

I wonder if there are catfish then I relize thats not true as catfish are big

As you stare into the water wondering about catfish, you notice that the water seems to glimmer below the surface in some spots.

I slowly get up and start to back away wanting to show I'm not a danger. I look around for maybe any food I can offer them to show I'm not a threat.

You reach the river and take a closer look. The glimmering seems to have come from some small, oddly coloured rocks.
