The arrow flies straight and true, hitting its target. The pronghorn lets out a cry and the rest of the herd scatters. The arrow hit the antelope in the lungs. It runs for a few paces before collapsing.

You spend until noon the next day butchering the animal and preparing its meat for travel.

After cleaning herself and Mitch up she packed up the rest of the meat And rolled the Hide placing it in one of her saddle bags, the two horns she kept in her pockets, she would work with them later ( I assume I'm using all of the animal?). Being they still had a half of a day left she rode Mitch back to the road heading towards the river still.

The morning of the second day you arrive at a river. There is a stone bridge around which a village has sprung up. You only have two meals left. You can either buy some here for 1g each or go hunting.

Zuni decided to try his luck hunting, dismounting to shorten his stirrups before remounting, this would give him more balance if he needed to stand on them to aim or if they went over a jump.

Five days later, there is a fork in the road. You can see a boy on a pony coming from the right fork, to the south.

You reach the crossroads at the same time.
"Hello," the boy says cheerfully, "my name is Allan!"

The area is rich with rabbits. They are a bit difficult to hunt with a bow but you try your luck anyway. In the end you narrowly miss, the arrow thudding into the ground right beneath the animal's chest and giving it the scare of its life!
You retrieve your arrow. If you want to get one you will have to try a trap. That may take awhile to succeed.

Zuni winced. he wasn't a big fan of traps. Maybe he could see if there was any other prey around to hunt? Or if there's a forest where deer might be?

You scout the riverbank for some waterfowl. The ducks and geese aren't nearly as cautious as they should be; it isn't long before you bag a few of them. You could probably trade them in for some food. It would save you the time of plucking them.
