I haven't cheated but it's hard not to. >_> I'm not really in a good mental state to spend time figuring out the riddle. I feel like this is something from something else, so those who know of said thing have an unfair advantage. And I do not know said thing or if I'm even right, but if there's an existing image like that I just assume that it is from a series or something.

Oh sorry. I uh. Knew the answer as soon as you posted the riddle so I was thinking about how to explain my thought process for it (since I'd been told it originally a few years ago) but it was late at night so I just went to bed and then the fest started and I didn't really think about this. Oops. :P

Too hard really depends on the person. It's got me well and truly baffled, but I don't have much reference for how to solve this style of puzzle. The only one I've seen before gave as many questions as needed to figure out the liar and safe door.
Most of my potential answers require some assumptions about the guards and rules that I'm not confident in making. Still, if I can't figure out a foolproof answer, I'll just pick the least bad of my potentials and cross my fingers. ^^ Is there a time limit?

i realy realy suck and solving riddels even when they are in dutch :P and you sayed no cheating :P no i can't use internet and i can't look at other players. althow i trust GG with my live so i don't mind going the same way as she will be going.

Hmm, I guess the difficulty I'm having with the riddle is the first part. It reads to me that the guards also don't know which is the safe door(unless I am reading it wrong), so it would be impossible to get an answer.
