"This is our main laboratory!" she said brightly. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary, it appeared to be a normal laboratory, but there were five soundproof doors at the other end of the room. Stereotypical scientists in white lab coats rushed around, performing various tasks.

I swoon and compliment the lab, and swoon some more (I honestly dont want to type out everything Brooksong said; Ill juts tell you that its REALLY cheesy and sweet and slightly sickening). "What are the soundproof doors for? Definitely something useful, because that's how smart people make things: useful. And you are a very smart person!!! " I skip around, looking really excited and cheerful.
(When Brooksong is in battle, she is so different from this personality XD)

"Oh, the doors lead to our testing rooms," she replied with a chuckle, "I'm surprised a smart girl like you hasn't figured out why they're soundproof yet, they're to block out the screams, wouldn't want the test subjects to distract our scientists from finding a cure!" she said, with an eerie smile still on her face.
(Cue dramatic music)

She opens one of the doors, fortunately, there isn't any screaming. As you head in, you see someone strapped to a table.
(Mind if I tie her backstory into the plot?)
