Okay, so the color turned out too pale, but I hope the concept gets across. xD Lots of swirls!


I call it "Winter Spirit." I went kind of all out and did multiple things on him. He has all of those swirls to represent the gusty winds and chilling breezes. I thought the whole "icicle" thing would look great for his antlers and his hooves, so that effect was played in there as well. I took out the leaves - maybe some...snowflakes instead?

I'm not sure if all of those things would constitute as one mutation but hopefully one of them intrigues people. ^^

Snowflakes in place of the balls

Hi everyone. And thank you Fae and Krin for doing this again! I had so much fun last time with designing pet mutations and genes. This time, I tried doing some watercolour art for this. Got an art kit on sale at my work. I enjoy painting but have not done it for a long time, so I'm glad to be doing it again. Well, on to the mutations~


This one I call Aurora wings. The Northern Lights are so beautiful and phenomenal to watch in the winter. I thought it would look good on our ethereal buddy~


This one is actually two mutations in one. Northern Helm and Northern Armour. I decided to try and incorporate ice and the Northern Lights into the designs. The helm is supposed to have three ice crystals at the top, then have streamers of the Northern Lights running down the sides of the face and winding up the ears. The armour, at the chest, has a spiral Northern Lights design with a streamer of ice/water that runs on both sides of the body, going down the legs. In the middle of the body, there are two ice crystals that come out, with Northern Light streamers running out of the tips of each crystal. On each leg, roughly in the middle, there is a circular ice crystal, with three ice spikes coming out of it. The third one cannot be seen behind the legs.

My idea Reindeer (with a bit of snow)



Most people don't know that both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the spring and summer and that males drop their antlers before the winter and that females drop theirs after the spring with they birth their calf. So my idea (excuse the poor illistration) would be to give the females small branch like antlers (to match the males) and a small extra fluff, and the male a larger fluff down the neck and almost to the back leg, and for fun I added a bit of snow to the tops of the antlers, cuz who does not like snow.

Arctic Mane



Not my favorite pet, buuuuut I do like this species... land I LOVE ice manes for some odd reason... so I thought I'd make one.

I'm sorry if it looks a bit sloppy... It was a very roughly drawn idea and my first time ever actually drawing an ice element.

I used paint so this didn't really come out well, but I call it Frost Steps. Frost springs up from wherever they step which made the trail. The ones at her feet are supposed to spike up around her feet, but I couldn't figure out how to make that happen. I thought it could go in Mutation 3. My first time making a design. ^-^
