"Agreed." Nicote gently patted teh wyvern's side. He stretched, he was a little stiff.

The three of them nod, and they jump into the sky. The Phoenix fly downriver while Shootingstar flies upriver.
I suppose now we wait, Crimson sniffs, padding over to the riverbank. She looks at her reflection in wonder, but refrains from touching the water. You remember the reason she told you before: when she comes into contact with water, she loses some of the fire she keeps within herself.

The Wyvern does the same, opening his maw in a wide yawn, showing off his poison-dripping teeth. He flicks his wings, spraying water over you and Balthur, and leaves you to the rain as he goes off to relieve himself somewhere.

Nicote pulls his ood over his head. "Uh...thanks?" At least it's not the sun...right?
Although it's probabl not good for a fire element.

Physical things that affect your body tend not to affect magic mostly - it comes mostly from your mind and soul, or so you've heard.
The Wyvern returns a few minutes later, ready to be strapped back up to the cart. Balthur has already scrambled into the back of the cart and out of the rain - unluckily for you and the Wyvern, you're just going to have to bear it.

Nicote puls his hood over his head and harnesses the wyvern. Then climbs into his spot, which is unforuntatey wet. Fun.

Also, unfortunately, you spent most of your magic getting through last night. Your only reprieve from the wet is that naturally your fire magic gives a passive heat boost to your body - so you're not cold at least.
The Wyvern starts off along the road, splashing through puddles as he goes. The day continues to be dreary throughout, and you are taken by surprise when you see a blurry cluster of structures in the distance.
As you near, you realise it's a city. And not just any city - it's the Adventurer's Crossroads, the city's iconic green flags able to be seen from where you are.

Nicote shivers. Great, more people to deal with.

You'll have to deal with it though - the weather won't be helping Balthur's wound any better, and he needs proper medical attention. The Adventurer's Crossroads is home to some of the best healers of Anaia, you just need to find them first.
The Wyvern slows as you reach the city boundaries and two armed militia approach.
"Are you just passing through?" one of them asks, eying the Wyvern suspiciously.
