"Thank you very much" I say, smiling warmly at the man. After leaving the shop I head to the horse trader and start examining his horses. I don't have enough to buy any of them but hopefully it's a good conversation starter.

(How do the backpacks work? Is every item, including things like individual treats, one space?)

"Perhaps," I answer. "You have quite the eye for horses and I've heard you were quite the adventurer. I was wondering if you knew a good way to cross the desert, or any places in the mesa worth visiting?"

You find a key folded carefully inside a paper in the center of the desk. The key seems to be the right size and shape to open the box from earlier. The paper contains a short message: My dear daughter has taken my favorite jewelry box. Try as I might, I cannot find it. She has hidden it well. I will be long gone by the time anyone comes by this message, so if it is ever found, they may keep its contents.

I let out a whoop of excitement and eagerly use the key to try and open the box
