Rin looks anxiously at the door.
Should I leave? Should I stay? I'm so confused~

The baby fox curls up tight, too weak and tired to do anything.

Inside the bush, the other fox is unresponsive - now that you're closer, you can see its body is dotted with fresh claw and teeth marks.

The marks are huge - almost something you'd expect from a mountain lion or anything in that family.

Hitori glances at you out of the corner of his eye. "If you want to leave, don't do it yet. Walking out there might get you killed. Ita- ah, the animals around here are pretty vicious."

"well lets not stick around" she whispered to the fox wrapping it up in some extra piece of clothing she had ripping from her clothes , bending down to pick up her bag and putting it in her empty bag big enough for it to move around in before looking around for a way down or back from her location, she remembered the water and decided to get a drink first

Rin's pupils shrink in fear. Now I'm really in a fix. Rin, you idiot! He feels his staff getting warm to the touch beneath his gloves. His hands seem to be alight with fiery magic, and he suspects his eyes may be glowing as well. He squeezes them shut. Shoot, shoot, shoot! Calm down, calm down!!! I really don't need to lose control right now~

The pup, still curled up, seems to fall asleep quickly.

The water is running fast and clear, so it must be fine. It's soothingly cool and crisp. Any other creatures around here must come to the stream to drink, too. . .

You glance across the water. The shore on the opposite side is rocky - but that's not the important thing.

Most of those rocks are covered in claw marks, like a great cat's scratching post.

Her senses came to her knowing this was probably the home of something more powerful than her...'ima just get a quick drink then leave' she said to herself looking around to see if there was any sign of life

Hitari sticks his hand in his hoodie pocket and appears to be gripping something. You can't tell what.

He watches you silently, expressionless.

The noise outside fades away. Standing up, Hitari opens the door and walks outside. You can hear him swear to himself, followed by him huffing like he's carrying something heavy.

After a few minutes, he comes back in. The front and arms of his hoodie are stained with wet blood.

You can't see anything, but you do hear three things:

- The running water of the stream
- The pup whimpering in its sleep
- Faint growling from the other side's bank. It's gradually getting louder, but you don't see the source.

You wake up in. . .somewhere dark. A cave? Must be.

Light is coming in through what should be the entrance, around a corner. It's wet in here. Ew.
