I have the answer to your question. The people on sylestia are 10-17 and there is also a community of adults running around the forums and suc, but mainly the most frequent users are between 12-15. Homestuck is a very sneaky webcomic, and you might not see it around if you are doing some searches that a 12-15 yr old would do. And there might be a huge collection of people who really like it, but don't use the forums. (Also many people are intimidated by its length and amount of profanity)
