The unfortunate secondary effect of the alcohol was that as Tavra's body relaxed so did her mind. It allowed her thoughts to wander in directions she'd been avoiding with stalwart determination. She thought of home and her parents, of the caverns she loved and exploring and...him. She squeezed her eyes tightly shut against the onslaught of memories and emotions, not that it did much good.
When Blaine commented on the ruckus happening nearby, Tavra looked in that direction, if only to try and distract herself. She saw the smaller human man being bullied, and her tumultuous storm of emotions suddenly became even more confusing. She wasn't really a reserved person by nature, not that a stranger could deduce as much about her since she'd left home. Perhaps...perhaps it was time to stop hiding...
"Indeed they are," she muttered under her breath, not really addressing Blaine directly as she stood up and...
A.) Interrupt the men
...walked over to the group of men, tapping one on the shoulder before speaking, "Just leave him alone." It seemed a weak thing to say, but she stood up straight and stared the men in the face with as much confidence as she could muster.

The men saw you and scowled. One of them spat at your feet. "What's it to ya?" another asked. The third one kept the weaker man in place while the first two drew daggers out of their belts and took a threatening step towards you.

Now dwarves were usually not the easiest people to intimidate by any means as they were a hardy, self-assured sort of race. In Tavra's case she not only had her dwarvish upbringing, but she was also rather tall, just under six foot. She stared back at the man who had spit, her green eyes gazing straight at him with a steely glint. Her attention flicked to the one who spoke.
"It's not anything to me," she said feigned disinterest as her hand rested gently upon the dagger at her own belt, "Only I came in here looking for a quiet drink and you boys are muddying my atmosphere." She didn't draw her blade yet, despite the weapons in the men's hands, feeling confident enough in her ability to arm herself quickly enough should they actually try anything.
