At a certain point, Tavra's brain must have made an executive decision, perhaps because if she continued on like this in such a stupor she was making herself vulnerable. Therefore, as soon as the tumbler of whiskey appeared before her, she reached for it automatically and downed half of it before she even had a chance to stop herself. She barely even winced as the warmth hit her belly like a bomb and spread through her body, leaving her considerably calmer than before.
"Thanks," she said to the other woman with a nod, a lock of her fiery hair falling over her shoulder at the gesture, "It is good to meet you, Blaine." It was quite purposely that she was ignoring the woman's comments about her dwarvish name and accent. She did not feel ready to talk about it, though she wouldn't lie if asked directly.

As you re-enter the town, you see more people out and about. There are several merchants - Serith is a bit bigger than Illara. You see more humans than anything else here. While Illara was more of a traveler's town, this seems to be one that people actually live in. The only out of place things you can see are a male human leaning against a building and twirling something between his fingers and a dwarf woman carrying a heavy-looking box.
What do you wish to do?
a) Go to a merchant
b) Approach the human man
c) Approach the dwarf woman
d) Leave
e) Look some more

When you immediately gulped down some of the whiskey, Blaine only seemed to smirk a little, but she didn't say anything about it. She didn't seem the type to let her questions go unanswered. "Aye, I'm sure the men would agree," she said, and then cast a glance behind her. Immediately, the men watching her looked away with reddened faces. She just laughed musically and shifted her wings a little against her back.
"Are you a traveler, Tavra? Surely, a squat little place such as this couldn't be your destination."

Dwarvish blood may not actually run through Tavra's veins but her upbringing with them had given her certain skill sets...such as a high tolerance for alcohol. After the first big gulp she could feel her muscles relax, her nerves easing up a bit, though she was by no means even buzzed yet. It would take a lot more than that certainly...
"Aye," she said to Blaine with her own surreptitious glance at the gathered men, "I'm sure they would..." She felt her lips twitch up into a momentary smirk at the sight of the embarrassed males, but it was gone just as soon as it appeared.
Sipping at her drink now, Tavra glanced sideways at Blaine when she posed her questions. She took her time with her whiskey, swirling the glass about with her hand and watching the Amber liquid dance around. It wasn't like the woman had asked her anything too personal...
"Traveler, yes," she replied, perhaps a little too hastily at first, so she cleared her throat a little, "And no, this was not my destination, though to be honest I'm not entirely sure where my destination is anyway..."

"See? I like that," Blaine nodded, taking another drink of her own whiskey. "Destinations are irrelevant to wanderers. That's what I fancy myself, anyway. Not a traveler, for I have no goal. Merely a wanderer. All I think about as I roam the great Evrio is my next drink," she grinned, and then grew impish. "Or, well, my next conquest of sorts... I'm afraid none of the men here are really up to par with my standards anymore. Boorish, married folk who reek of urine and mildew. I've climbed that mountain, you know? Been there, done that. Mounted that hill. It becomes quite boring after some time."
