The plot thickens >:3) Rin, taking a deep breath, repeats the spell from last night and flies up into the tree. He misses, hits his head on the branch he is aiming for, and winds up sprawled on the ground. Felix climbs onto Rin's face and bites his nose. Rin sits up, sighs, and tries again. This time he manages to grab the branch and pull himself up to the top. He sighs and closes his eyes.

(all i heard when i read where he falls is "bonk" XD)

It's cold and windy. Again. At least it's not raining, snowing. . .or whatever weather happens here. The sun has already sunk underneath the horizon - it's not super easy to see.

You've almost drifted off to sleep when you hear a faint plurnk. Something appears to be on the branch in front of you - near the end. It gets even colder. . .

Inside the house, Hitari is unable to sleep as he paces around nervously. Itami was right - he's usually not even half as emotional as he has been lately. . .and he could stay in the house for the rest of his life. For unknown reasons, unless Hitari was being very upset, Itami had never been able to enter the house without using a physical body.

But Hitari didn't want to force Rin to suffer through the same process he had.

"I don't know what. . .to do. . ." he mutters to himself. "What's really the worse thing that could happen if the situation becomes. . .permanent? I never. . .do anything. . .so I wouldn't be a big loss. . .I'm technically the reason everyone's gone. . ."

(BONK lol)
Rin takes in a breath, grabbing his staff. What the heck is that?

Something too dark to see is sitting there - so dark it may as well be black mist.

Wait a second. . .

Itami is simply. . .there. It? He? raises a shadowy hand and waves silently. The wind pulls at his form, but does not take it.

Hitari takes his knife out of his pocket and stares at it. After a while, he chucks it at the wall - the blade pops open from the force.

Rin's heart starts to pound. He looks for an escape route but sees none. "I-Itami!"

She had her ears down still cuddling them

Itami puts his hand down. Standing up (more like hovering), he takes a step or two towards you. You can feel his gaze on you.

Leaning forward with almost a hissing sound, he grabs you by the neck. He's not choking you, but it's deathly cold - also very uncomfortable. You can't try to struggle free, because. . .well, you're in a tree.

Hitari looks at the window, faintly hearing Rin's shout. "Rin. . .?"

He dashes to the door, flinging it open and running out, only to realize he has no clue which tree Rin is in. "Rin?!" he shouts in a panic.

Crap. . .if Itami's with him, I'm almost certain it isn't to say hi. . .

"Ah!" Rin shouts, hands flying to his neck. His eyes flash orange. "W-What do you want?!"

Something lands on top of your head - it feels like a hand. "Boop!" says a light voice behind you. "Hehe, you all seem happy!"

The cougar and fox jump, startled. They hadn't seen or smelled anyone approaching. The tall girl with waist-length, platinum hair and blue eyes almost seemed to have come out of nowhere. Her clothes are fine - that is, they are remarkably clean and expensive-looking: a simple white slip with matching flats on her feet.

Itami doesn't say anything, but his grip tightens a little. You're still able to breathe, but it's getting harder. He opens his hand, palm facing upward.

Far below and a little distance away, you can barely see Hitari running around in a panic, calling your name.

She jumps lightly looking up at the girl, a sigh of relief left her since she wasn't the only person out here but she was also wondering why she didn't show herself before, instead she smiled and stuck out her hand-paw.....paw-hand?....eh who cares "hi!"
