I Need help!

I don't know how to get new Sylesti!

You can new pets by:

-buying traps and catching them from the wild when you explore. (Traps don't always work, so you might have to invest quite some gold into this method)

-breeding. Go to the generators page, breeding grounds to breed your pets once they are adults. To breed with other people's pets, you go to that pet's profile page, and click view prices. Choose your pet you want to breed with, and click breed. You can find pets by using the advanced search. (Breeding prices varies on type of pet and traits)

-buying from others. Use the advanced search to find pets that others are selling, or you can go to the pet sale/auction forum and browse through there.

You can also drop by the games/contests forum. There are quite some games/contests where the prizes are pets.

Not sure if this has been asked before, I'm afraid I ran out of patience to look through 40 plus pages of questions, ahaha...

But is there a way to turn off the battle music anywhere? I can't find a setting for it, but I listen to other music while I play, and they clash :P

yes you can. =)
Just scroll down when in the exploring page, there's a little speaker on the bottom right of the explore window. Click that, and the sound's muted.

So far this site is fun. I'm rather glad the online pet site I've been playing for years decided to vanish for 3 days and delete 1 of my favorite areas. If I hadn't been mad at that site, I wouldn't have found this one.

However, a couple of things still confuse me.

1. From reading this thread, I gather that I should be able to use Draughts and Elixirs during a battle. However, when I click the satchel icon during battle, the popup only offers me Snares to use, even though I have both Draughts and Elixirs in my Inventory. This has cost me a couple of battles. What do I need to do in order to use a Draught or Elixir during a battle?

2. I really need to have a party of 3 sylesti on my current quest, not just 2, but William the Hunter's Expand Party button remains stubbornly grayed out. What does the guy want besides gold? Do I have to be a certain level or something?

3. Is it considered rude to just message someone you don't know and ask if they'll sell a sylesti that they have not set a price on? I totally covet this certain hatchling, but I don't know the owner at all.

1. As I recall, there are two buttons that you can click during a battle - one to open the snares and scanners page, and another to open and manipulate your party (distribute elixers, switch party member positions, etc). I think it's a red arrow? Try that one.

2. William the Hunter will only sell you a single party space. The other can be bought from Jaxle in the Sanctuary of Saerielle, iirc.

3. Depends on the person! Some people don't like PMs like that, but as far as I know there's nothing against it in the rules, as long as you only ask them once, and offer to buy it (as opposed to 'omg that bby is sooo pretty can I havz')

Thanx, Domino. I had also tried the red arrow, with no results, but after reading your reply I took a couple of pets back to the troll caves, got in a battle, clicked the red arrow...and still saw only my pets, no items to use.

Then I tried clicking Use Item anyway. Ta-dah! There the items were.

It had simply never occurred to me that there was any point in clicking to use an item when I couldn't see any items! You click "Use Item" and then the items appear.

Hope I bookmarked that adorable hatchling...

How do you get diamonds? Is it only through actual payments?
