nothing until you reach one of the open spots. in the open spot there is a square of water.

you go in and find that strangely all the animals are completely still. Ember swishes her tail skittishly

she smacks into the door it scares you to see she has some solidity. You also notice that there is a glowing gem on her back.

you go back down and the bottom still seems at least 40 feet down.
