Hitari looks up as Rin collapses. "Uh. . .are you okay."

He slaps himself in the face. "Idiot. . .he obviously isn't. . ."

Standing up shakily, he picks up Rin and sits him up in one of the chairs, then sits on the floor on the opposite side of the room. ". . .what. . .am I doing. . ."

He promptly falls asleep.

Rin is pretty much out cold. He'll..... come back to his senses eventually. I think. >:3

Hitari sleepily looks at his hands - the scars from when Itami was playing with the knife stare back at him. Trying to stay levelheaded, he slowly gets up and walks to the door.

Glancing back at Rin and the owl, he goes outside and closes the door behind him, sitting on the other side.

Felix flies over to Rin, landing with talons outstretched on one of his shoulders. The little owl hops down to rest on his lap.

Outside, Hitari breathes deeply, taking in the cool air. He stares at the horizon, zoning out.

After a while, he feels something. A presence.

No, the shadowy figure beside him says. No-nope-nopity nope. I'm bored, Loneliness. Let me do something fun.

Hitari shakes his head, telling himself he can't sleep now. "If you. . .do anything. . .to Rin one of these days. . .I swear. . ."

That wouldn't be me, Itami says. We both know that'd be you.
